Synopsis: This Tuesday's show at 9pm CST will be dishing out some tough love as well as setting a tone that host Jeff Nerone has little patience for: men who choose to look the other way and not step up to doing the right thing.

From the drunk driving antics of State Legislator Jeff Wood to the ever elusive "Craig the Spa Man" Hueffner, from Valissa Reynolds/Robert Whitman to Marquette's own Jim McLaughlin, multitude of men refuse to own their truth.

Jeff will also sound off about his contempt for Mattel-Barbie and MGA Entertainment-Bratz Dolls. He loathes two industries who promote our young daughters to dress inappropriately, wear makeup that is unacceptable for little girl's under 12 and encourage our daughter's to get tattoos and body piercings.

And where are the fathers? Why aren't enough of them putting their foot down and stopping this from happening? We need to be protecting our daughters!

Many men get so stuck in remaining as five-year-old boys....wanting so much and expecting to get it....from others instead of creating it on their own. Many men play the 'victim card' in their lives blaming others or the system for their troubles. These men can easily speak of why they 'can't'. Not only as men are we tired of hearing it, MANY women get sick of hearing these men whine and complain, so stuck in getting attention from playing the victim that they miss out on the opportunity to wake up, step up and grow up.

That is what is needed. Wake Up-Step Up-Grow Up

The movie presented many life lessons pertaining to men's lives. There are also some interesting similarities between Benjamin Button and Forrest Gump characters.

Jeff also informs everyone of upcoming topics. Local psychologist and published author Bill Klatte will be invited as a guest to discuss the emotions men struggle with due to being laid off. Due to the ongoing announcements of company closings and corporate layoffs, 100s if not 1000s of men across the United States and struggling with loss and uncertainty.

Racine Wisconsin Mayor Gary Becker was arrested recently for attempting to meet with a 14-year old girl (she was an undercover police officer). This behavior (what some may call as Lolita Syndrome) is also being offered by Barnes & Noble as a "fashion magazine" for men titled LULA.

How does the campus truly promote all students versus just those 'traditional' students who are 18-24?

InnerMan Radio - Program #15

Broadcast Date: 2009-04-06

Host: Jeff Nerone - Producer: Jessica Mahne
Guests:

PreProduction: Inner Compass Studio - Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Music Theme: Original composition by David I. Johnson

Motion Picture segments:

Synopsis: Lee Holloway is at it again, not only being Chairman of the Board for Milwaukee County, but also wearing the hat of a skanky slumlord. Chairman of the Board or is her Snidley Whiplash?

Again, Mr. Holloway is being held accountable to keep safe and secure properties by receiving numerous Building code violations. It’s shameful that such a man allows his tenants to be faced with having to sit on a toilet in an apartment with an umbrella due to water dripping in from hole in the ceiling.

Is this man supposed to be a positive example or a good example of a bad man?

Host Jeff Nerone continues to see one popular Milwaukee University offering women empowerment workshops, sexual violence towards women presentations and diversity of students…yet no mention of men’s emotional or psychological struggles. Where are the voices of the men?

How about within your university or college? Does your college campus have groups of feminine empowerment or pro-feminist focus groups? Do they also have men’s group that perhaps strives towards emotional well-being? If not a college, what about within your church or temple?

Within the Marquette Tribune, there was a recent movie article reviewing “I Love You, Man” – it was written by a woman, actually it was written by a young woman….what the hell does she know about us guys and our level of friendships?

Are we to have our own voice or are we going to continue to let women speak for us?

InnerMan Radio - Program #16

Broadcast Date: 2009-04-27

Host: Jeff Nerone
Guests: Holly Weiss as Guest Host

PreProduction: Inner Compass Studio - Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Music Theme: Original composition by David I. Johnson

Motion Picture segments:

Synopsis: Have you felt helpless?

Is the current economic crisis hitting you so hard that you don’t know what to do?

Are you out of work and afraid? How intense is your anger growing?

Are you feeling ashamed not being able to work and pay the bills?

Host Jeff Nerone explores his own emotional struggles, and acts as an example of how other men struggle with their anger and feelings of helplessness.

Times are very tough and appear bleak, now is not the time to distance ourselves from others, instead as men, we need to be emotionally accountable and seek healthy emotional expression and ongoing support.

Jeff also speaks of his experience on attending the kickoff presentation of Marquette’s Women and Gender Studies program. Whether its in Milwaukee or other university campuses, where is the support for men? Why isn’t there a ‘men’s studies’ program being offered along with women studies. The word “gender” doesn’t seem to be enough nor classes that focus on the ‘positive masculine’.

Are there any curriculums available anywhere in the US?
